Braintree & North Essex Ramblers have evolved from North West Essex group and were formed in 1987 to promote walking, wellbeing and appreciation of the countryside. We organise a variety of local walks typically 5 to 10 miles long in the Braintree, Witham & Halstead area up to the Suffolk border.

Dear Member
In recent times our Braintree and North Essex Group has seen a decline in members who are walking on a regular basis. We have now reached a point where the group is no longer viable, as there are so few of us. I am therefore notifying you of a Special General Meeting that has been convened to consider and vote on the closure of the group:

Time: 12.00 noon
Place: Danbury Common opposite the Cricketers Arms
